Zhaga Book 18 Street Light Control Unit
ZenoSmart LoRaWAN® Zhaga® Book 18 Lighting Control Unit is an innovative and compact solution designed to provide remote control and monitoring of LED-based outdoor lighting systems used in smart city infrastructures. With 40 mm and 80 mm interface options compliant with the Zhaga Book 18 standard, it can be easily integrated into street lighting luminaires via a 24VDC power supply.
The device supports low-power wide-area network technologies such as LoRaWAN®, NB-IoT, and LTE-M. Through 0–10V, DALI, DALI-2, and DALI-D4i interfaces, it offers precise lighting control, improving energy efficiency and reducing maintenance costs. With these capabilities, it enhances urban lighting infrastructures, making them smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable.
The Zhaga® 18 Street Light Control Device is an advanced wireless remote-control unit designed for LED street luminaires equipped with a Zhaga® Book 18–compatible connector. Its plug-and-play installation enables easy deployment across various street lighting modules. The device is robust enough to withstand outdoor environmental conditions and integrates seamlessly with both existing lighting systems and third-party solutions.
We prioritized cost-effective system integration through open communication protocols, an open-source JavaScript data decoder, and our dedicated ZenoSmart Connect application.
The control device communicates via LoRaWAN® and NB-IoT networks. It supports DALI, DALI-2, D4i, and 0–10 V analog interfaces for streetlight control. Its sleek and modern design ensures compatibility with slim LED luminaires. Additionally, an optional GPS module is available to simplify map-based positioning and ensure precise time synchronization.

1. What functions does the control device provide?

This device is designed for remote management of LED lighting systems. It provides lamp dimming and control through DALI/DALI-2, 0–10V, and 1–10V interfaces. Additionally, its integrated light sensor and tilt sensor enable real-time field monitoring, implementation of adaptive lighting scenarios, and improved energy efficiency.

Answer:
The device transmits data via LoRaWAN® 1.0.4 Class C, NB-IoT, and LTE-M. Data security is ensured through AES-128 encryption as well as APN and VPN support. It also supports location tracking via GPS/GLONASS/BeiDou/QZSS, and firmware updates (OTA) can be performed via Bluetooth or LoRaWAN®.
