Soil Moisture and Conductivity Sensor
The ZenoSmart LoRaWAN Soil Moisture & EC Sensor precisely measures the moisture level and electrical conductivity (EC) of soil in agricultural fields and transmits the data to the IoT server over the LoRaWAN network. In this way, irrigation and fertilization processes can be automated, reducing resource use and optimizing plant growth.
ZenoSmart Soil Moisture and Conductivity Sensor contributes to efficient agricultural practices by continuously monitoring soil moisture and conductivity values in fields, greenhouses and gardens. The sensor can be easily installed with cables and data can be tracked with detailed settings via the IoT platform. The default data transmission interval is 15 minutes, but can be easily changed according to user needs.
Thanks to the ZenoSmart online platform, you can remotely monitor sensor data and receive daily, weekly or monthly reports. With LTE, Wi-Fi or Helium network, cost-effective and efficient monitoring systems can be set up over large agricultural areas. The sensor provides reliable measurements across different soil types, ensuring irrigation and fertilization decisions are based on real-time data.
This saves water and fertilizer, supports healthy plant growth and maximizes agricultural yield. The ZenoSmart Soil Moisture and Conductivity Sensor is the ideal solution for modern agriculture with its precise measurements and IoT-based control features.

What data does the sensor measure?
Answer:
The ZenoSmart LoRaWAN Soil Moisture & EC Sensor measures soil moisture content and electrical conductivity (EC). Using the FDR (Frequency Domain Reflectometry) method, it provides high-precision moisture measurement, while temperature-compensated EC measurement accurately determines fertilizer concentration and salinity levels.

How does the sensor transmit data and which networks does it support?
Answer:
The sensor wirelessly transmits the measured data to the IoT server via the LoRaWAN network. The default data transmission interval is 15 minutes, but it can be adjusted according to user needs. The device supports CN470, EU433, KR920, US915, EU868, AS923, AU915, and IN865 frequency bands. Additionally, LTE, Wi-Fi, or Helium network support can provide extended coverage.

How is the device installed and how durable is it?
Answer:
The sensor can be easily installed via cable connection and is resistant to outdoor conditions thanks to its IP66 waterproof enclosure. It operates on a Li-SOCl₂ battery, offering a lifespan of up to 10 years. After installation, the sensor automatically starts collecting data, and all parameters can be monitored or configured remotely via the IoT platform (using downlink configuration).
